MURRAY FOUNDATION
The Murray Foundation was established by Sir David Murray in 1996 as a support service for those affected by limb loss or absence. Since that time the Foundation has grown significantly in terms of the range of support and advice that they are able to offer. (The Murray Foundation Office at Ibrox Stadium has now closed. DisabledGo provides free detailed access information for Disabled people across the UK and Ireland. Our detailed access information will empower you to judge the Disabled access to venues for yourself.

LIMBLESS ORGANISATION
LA is a leading UK Charity for people with limb-loss, their family, friends and carers and the industry and healthcare professionals who support them. They offer free, friendly and impartial advice on all aspects of limb-loss and provide a national "voice" for UK prosthetic patients, encouraging best practice in the industry and promoting equal opportunities in the community. Whether you are preparing for an amputation, already undergoing rehabilitation or need support at any stage after limb-loss, the LA is here to help.

RADAR TOILET KEY
The National Key Scheme (NKS) was introduced because an increasing number of Local Authorities and other Organisations providing public toilets felt that they had to lock their toilets. Radar keys can be bought from Aberdeen City Council, Environmental
and Consumer Protection Services, 4th Floor St Nicholas House, Broad Street, Aberdeen, AB10 1BX, Tel: 523440. A full list of locations for the toilets covered is available on Caredata. (see below)

GRAMPIAN CAREDATA

Grampian CareData is a Local Community, Care and Health information Service provided for the people of the North East of Scotland. This information is available free to all members of the public.

ABERDEEN COUNCIL OF VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS (ACVO)
ACVO exists to represent, support and develop the voluntary sector in Aberdeen City. They aim to foster and promote the sector's role in the development of caring communities where individuals are enabled to achieve their full potential.

BLUE BADGE
The Blue Badge Scheme of parking concessions is designed to allow people who have great difficulty walking to park close to shops, public buildings, stations and numerous other places, and to park in spaces that would otherwise be barred by parking restrictions. You can apply for a Badge if you are either the driver or a passenger (who is at least 2 years old), and your disability affects your capacity to walk any distance. If you are receiving the Higher rate of the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or are registered blind you would qualify. MOTABILITY

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to use their government-funded mobility allowances to obtain a new car, powered wheelchair or scooter.

OUCH – BBC

Ouch! is a website from the BBC that reflects the lives and experiences of Disabled people. It has articles, blogs, a very busy messageboard and an award-winning downloadable radio show - The Ouch Podcast.    It's aimed at those with a stakehold in Disability -Family, Friends, Professionals and, rather importantly, Disabled people themselves - without whom all this  would be a bit meaningless.
