Burns Supper a sell out at the Inn at the Park!

Around 80 folk from all over the world gathered at the Inn at the Park Hotel, Polmuir Road on

January 23rd for a Grand Burns Supper, celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the Birth of our National Bard - Robbie Burns.

The Supper was organised by the L.O.O.N.S and apart from members and friends, several oil companies took staff along for the fun.

The Selkirk Grace was narrated by Katie Barnett before Fionnlagh Copland piped in the Haggis, carried by Bill the Hotel's Head Chef, before L.O.O.N.S Chairman gave the Address.

The Toast to the Lassies was most superbly delivered by L.O.O.N.S Member Bernie van der Heijdt, with a very humorous reply from his wife, Lorrie.

The Highlight of the evening was a dramatic rendition of the classic poem "Tam o' Shanter" by local lass Tish Howard. Other entertainment rounded off an excellent night.
